For nearly half a century, Billy Idol has remained a definitive figure in rock ‘n’ roll. By seamlessly blending the infectious energy of dance music with the rebellious spirit of punk and rock decadence, he has produced a staggering catalog of anthems, including timeless hits such as “Dancing With Myself“, “White Wedding“, “Rebel Yell“, “Eyes Without A Face“, and “Cradle Of Love“.
Maintaining a relentless global touring schedule, the musician recently released his latest studio album, Dream Into It, via Dark Horse Records in 2025. The critically acclaimed release—his first full-length collection of new material in over a decade—garnered significant chart success, peaking at No. 7 on the U.S. Top Albums chart, No. 4 on the U.S. Current Rock Albums chart, No. 9 on the U.K. official album sales chart, and No. 2 on the German Top 100 album chart. Dream Into It continues to earn widespread praise from major outlets, including Billboard, Consequence, and USA Today.
The successful comeback album prominently features co-writing and performance contributions from Steve Stevens, alongside high-profile guest appearances from Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett, and Alison Mosshart of The Kills. The project was expertly produced by Tommy English, a sought-after producer known for his work with Kacey Musgraves, Blink-182, Børns, and K. Flay.
Beyond the Las Vegas residency and the success of Dream Into It, Billy Idol is also celebrating a major milestone on the silver screen. On March 26, Hulu will exclusively stream a new feature-length documentary exploring his extraordinary life and career, titled “Billy Idol Should Be Dead.” Directed by three-time Grammy Award-winning filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund and produced by Live Nation Studios, the streaming premiere follows a recent theatrical run that began at the iconic TLC Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Adding to an already monumental year, Billy Idol has officially been nominated for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame‘s Class of 2026.
