Nergal previously gave a statement about upcoming album: “I have reached a point in the journey of Behemoth and my own creativity where words and explanations have less and less meaning. The true essence of who we are and what we stand for lies in our music, our art, our visuals, our sound, our performances and in the way we connect with you. I deeply believe that Behemoth embodies transcendent, timeless art. The number thirteen – so magical and meaningful. If this is our last album, I could walk away with pride. Without a doubt, this is the purest and clearest representation of Behemoth. No filler, no superfluity – just the best we have to offer, for you. Hail S*tan”
On March 5th, Behemoth dropped their latest single, “The Shadow Elite,” complete with a gripping new music video.
In a special, invite-only event, the band’s most devoted fans gathered at a secret location for an intense and primal live performance. Branded and tattooed with Behemoth’s sigils, these diehard followers, known as “The Shadow Elite,” created a chaotic atmosphere as the band played from within a cage. In true Behemoth fashion, the release of “The Shadow Elite” on Ash Wednesday brings a return to their early roots with relentless blast beats and searing tremolo riffs, embodying the ferocity that has become their trademark sound.
At the time, Nergal commented: “‘The Shadow Elite’ is the second single and the opening track from our thirteenth album, The S**t ov God. A raw, high-energy anthem with a relentless drive—a banger built for the stage! Lyrically, it’s a call to arms—a fearless battle cry for outcasts, anarchists, and free minds to rise. We will not be silenced. It’s about uniting and summoning the courage to embrace and amplify the fire of freedom that burns within us!”
