Attila frontman Chris Fronzak has claimed the band is still barred from performing in the state of Nevada, citing the fallout from a notorious 2018 concert. In a separate statement, the singer also claimed the band has not returned to Australia in over a decade because the country is “too ‘woke’.”
The Nevada ban stems from Attila‘s infamous show at the Hard Rock Live in Las Vegas on August 22, 2018. The performance turned violent when several band members were involved in a physical altercation with venue security.
At the time, Fronzak defended the band’s actions, alleging security was harming fans. In a 2018 social media post, he stated: “Man I wish y’all could see everything I saw from my point of view. Of course the videos only show me after I f**king snapped. The videos don’t show these abusive motherf**kers that were choking my fans and powerslamming them into the concrete…”
The incident resulted in a lawsuit filed by the security guards against Fronzak, guitarist Christopher Linck, and bassist Kalan Blehm. The suit accused the trio of “lunging after, punching, attacking, kicking, throwing objects at, and/or striking” the security staff.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) this past weekend, Fronzak confirmed the 2018 incident has had lasting consequences, stating that the band remains barred from performing in Nevada.
No, we're banned from Nevada

All good tho, no sweat https://t.co/UBMIBw9uxQ
When another fan on the platform inquired about Attila‘s decade-long absence from Australia, Fronzak replied that the band is not banned from playing there, but the ‘country is just too woke’.
Nah, we're not banned from Australia, your country is just too woke https://t.co/BqLDrTgJuq

While it’s unclear if Fronzak‘s comment was serious, it reflects a similar sentiment expressed by other artists. Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke faced condemnation from Australian city councilors during his band’s tour there in March, sparking a debate about “woke” culture and backlash.
