Fans at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam were treated to a massive symphonic metal reunion on Saturday night (February 7). During Epica‘s co-headlining show with Amaranthe, former Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz made a surprise appearance on stage, joining forces with some of the genre’s most prominent voices.
White-Gluz emerged to perform the collaborative track “Sirens – Of Blood And Water” alongside Epica‘s Simone Simons, Amaranthe‘s Elize Ryd, and former Delain frontwoman Charlotte Wessels, whose new project The Obsession served as the evening’s support act. Later in the night, White-Gluz returned to the stage to help close out Epica‘s set with a rendition of “Beyond The Matrix.” You can watch the performance down below.
While the performance appeared seamless to the 8,000 fans in attendance, White-Gluz revealed earlier today that she was performing under severe physical duress. In a social media post sharing video of the event, the singer disclosed that she had broken her ribs in a fall just 24 hours prior to the show.
Alissa wrote in the accompanying message:
“After an extremely uplifting, rewarding and productive month in LA, I snuck over to the Netherlands to surprise 8000 fans by jumping on stage with @epicaofficial !”
“Amazingly, even though EPICA is one of the first bands I ever toured with, starting about 20 years ago, this is the first time we have performed together.”

I fell down snowy stairs and broke my ribs the night before heading to Amsterdam. So I did this show with broken ribs. I swear I have no intention of breaking my ribs every time I start a new chapter in my career, but I’ll take it as a good sign! Just don’t make me laugh, that hurts!”
This appearance marks one of White-Gluz‘s most high-profile outings since her departure from Arch Enemy late last year. In November, she released her debut solo single, “The Room Where She Died“, a track featuring music written by Kamelot keyboardist Oliver Palotai and a music video produced by the iCODE Team.
The split from her longtime band was made official on November 23, 2025, when Arch Enemy issued a brief statement:
“Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We’re thankful for the time and music we’ve shared and wish her all the best.”
At the time, Alissa addressed the separation on her own Facebook page, hinting at her future plans:
“After 12 years in Arch Enemy, we have parted ways. I am forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way. Thank you, Beastlings!”
“I can’t wait to share what I have been working on with you all (with some big surprises in store). Stay tuned for big news in 2026 and see you very soon.”
