Aerosmith and Yungblud have officially joined forces for a brand-new single, “My Only Angel”, following a standout performance at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. The track is now available for streaming pre-save and promises a bold fusion of classic rock and modern alternative energy.

The collaboration first ignited on stage at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, where Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Nuno Bettencourt, and Yungblud paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. Opening with Ozzy’s iconic “Crazy Train” performed by Yungblud and Bettencourt, the supergroup then delivered “Changes,” a song Yungblud had previously performed at Back to the Beginning, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s final show. Adam Wakeman, Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s longtime keyboardist, also joined the performance, adding to the historic moment.

Fans were quick to notice a memorable post-performance moment: a clip showing Steven Tyler and Yungblud embracing, with Tyler teasing, “We got a secret!” That “secret” is now revealed as the new single, “My Only Angel.” A short preview is already available, giving fans a first taste of what promises to be a thrilling collaboration.

This release comes at a significant point in Aerosmith’s history. Steven Tyler has returned to the stage in select appearances, including Back to the Beginning earlier this summer. The band’s Peace Out Tour, announced in May 2023 as a 40-date farewell trek across North America, was cut short after Tyler fractured his larynx during the UBS Arena show on September 9, 2023. Despite rescheduled dates for 2024, the band ultimately canceled the remaining shows on August 2, 2024, officially retiring from touring.
