Reunited sludge metal pioneers Acid Bath have officially added a New York City stop to their 2026 touring schedule. The Louisiana outfit is set to perform at the Rooftop At Pier 17 on August 21, bringing along death metal legends Obituary and fellow sludge act Thou as support for the gig.
Fans looking to secure their tickets early can access the current presale using the password “MUTATE”. General public ticket sales will launch this Thursday, June 18.
The newly announced New York show is part of a packed summer and fall itinerary for Acid Bath. In addition to their headlining dates across North America and the United Kingdom, the band is slated to support heavyweights System Of A Down and Queens Of The Stone Age on a massive European stadium run throughout July.
Earlier in October, Acid Bath announced their first-ever headlining performance in the United Kingdom. The special, one-off show is scheduled for June 25, 2026, at the O2 Ritz in Manchester.

Acid Bath shocked the underground heavy metal scene when they officially reunited for live shows last year. The cult-favorite band had been on an extended hiatus for over two decades following the tragic passing of bassist Audie Pitre in January 1997. During their long absence, their two studio albums, When The Kite String Pops and Paegan Terrorism Tactics, became legendary within the doom and sludge metal communities.
After canceling their initially planned comeback at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, the long-awaited reunion officially kicked off on April 25, 2025, in their hometown of New Orleans. The current touring lineup features original members Dax Riggs on vocals, alongside guitarists Sammy Duet and Mike Sanchez. They are joined on stage by drummer Zack Simmons (of Goatwhore) and bassist Shane Wesley (of Crowbar).
