Following a series of highly praised reunion shows, cult sludge metal pioneers Acid Bath have announced they will be bringing their tour to Canada for a single performance at Rebel in Toronto, ON, on October 11.
Tickets for the newly announced show go on sale to the general public today, May 28, at 10:00 AM. An artist pre-sale is currently active on Ticketmaster using the code ‘BLOODTRIP’.
The band’s reunion, their first live activity in nearly three decades, has been met with widespread acclaim from fans. A recent performance on April 30 at The Fillmore in New Orleans was highlighted as a phenomenal success, with attendees giving particular praise to frontman Dax Riggs for his powerful vocals. The setlist that night spanned the band’s influential 90s catalog, including iconic tracks like “Tranquilized,” “Graveflower,” and “Dr. Seuss Is Dead.”
The performance also included a poignant moment when the band dedicated their song “Scream of the Butterfly” to their late original bassist, Audie Pitre, who tragically passed away in 1997.
The 2025 touring lineup of Acid Bath features original members Dax Riggs on vocals, Sammy “Pierre” Duet on guitar, and Mike Sanchez on guitar and vocals. They are joined by a new rhythm section composed of drummer Zack Simmons (of Goatwh*re) and bassist Shane Wesley (of Crowbar).
