Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has been forced to cancel his concert scheduled for tonight in Lancaster, California, after a “minor fall” at his home studio required a trip to the hospital. According to an official statement, the legendary rocker is “fine,” but the cancellation was made at the insistence of his doctor and “against his wishes.”
The announcement was made on Thursday, September 25, informing fans that Frehley would not be able to perform at the Antelope Valley Fair tonight, September 26. In the statement, his team provided details on the incident and his condition, and encouraged fans to still attend the event to support the other bands on the bill, Quiet Riot and Vixen.

“Dear Rock Soldiers,”
“Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time. As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California on Friday, September 26th.”
“Please go to the fair to support his friends in Quiet Riot and Vixen, and Ace looks forward to continuing on his tour and finishing work on his next album, Origins Vol. 4.”
The statement makes it clear that this is expected to be a temporary setback for the very active guitarist. His ongoing tour is set to continue, and he is in the process of completing work on his next solo album, a follow-up to 2020’s Origins Vol. 2.
The cancellation is a minor bump in the road for the influential Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who has recently been in the headlines for his public back-and-forth with his former KISS bandmates regarding their own upcoming fan events.
“They asked me and I declined,” Ace said at the time. “There’s no way I’m gonna be involved with that, you know?”
