Rock titans AC/DC have confirmed a highly anticipated return to their native Australia, announcing five new tour dates for November and December as part of their ongoing “Power Up” tour. This latest addition extends a global trek that began in May 2024, having already included successful legs across Europe and North America.
The Australian leg of the tour is scheduled to commence on November 12 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Following this kick-off, the band will bring their legendary live show to Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth, concluding their homecoming run on December 14 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. Australian punk rock outfit Amyl & The Sniffers has been announced as the support act for these performances.
Tickets for these eagerly awaited concerts will be available starting this Thursday, June 26.
Despite widespread speculation among fans that these Australian shows could mark the band’s final live appearances, AC/DC has maintained its characteristic silence on any long-term plans. There has been no official confirmation regarding the tour’s ultimate conclusion, and it is notable that the “Power Up“ tour has yet to reach South America, leaving potential future dates open.
The current AC/DC lineup, poised to embark on a second series of European dates beginning June 26 in the Czech Republic, features the enduring force of lead guitarist Angus Young and vocalist Brian Johnson. They are joined by rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney, ensuring the band’s powerful sound continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
