Reports have emerged that legendary rock band AC/DC is planning a tour of South America for March 2026. The news comes from respected Brazilian journalist José Norberto Flesch, who is known for accurately breaking news of major international concerts in the region.
The report, which has ignited excitement among the band’s massive South American fanbase, was shared on Saturday, October 18, via Flesch‘s X (formerly Twitter) account.
“AC/DC IN BRAZIL! São Paulo – March 2026! Tour will also have shows in Buenos Aires and Santiago. More information soon,” the post reads.
If officially confirmed, the tour would mark AC/DC‘s first return to Brazil since their sold-out performance at São Paulo’s Morumbi Stadium in 2009. This new report is further supported by a story from July of this year, in which O Globo columnist Ancelmo Gois reported that Live Nation was producing three shows for the band at the Interlagos Racetrack in São Paulo.
The reports of a 2026 South American tour come as the band is preparing to launch the Australian leg of their massively successful “Power Up” world tour next month.
Following their August 21 concert at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, the city’s council received eight noise complaints from local residents. It was later determined that the fireworks display at the end of the show had exceeded “permitted noise levels,” prompting the council to advise against the use of pyrotechnics at future events at the stadium. The incident is just the latest in a long history of the band being, quite literally, too loud for local authorities.
While an official announcement is still pending, the reports from credible sources strongly suggest that AC/DC‘s high-voltage rock and roll show is finally set to make its long-awaited return to South America.
